William E Ruleford, known to most as Bill, passed away on November 14 at the age of 87.

He was born in Marinette, Wisconsin on December 15th, 1929 as the 4th of 11 children. Survived by his 3 siblings, Evelyn Van Hese, Theodore Ruleford and Linda Stutleen along with his 3 children Robert Ruleford, Judy Scally and William Ruleford.

Bill joined the US military (ARMY) in 1947 at the age of 17; during his service he defended his country in the Korean War. He served with distinction for 21 years after finally retiring in 1967.

He married the love of his life, Kazue Ruleford, in Yokohama, Japan on December 4, 1953 and remained married for 55 years until Kazue’s death in 2008.

Bill was a farmer, soldier, Veteran, husband, father, engineer, Shriner, leader, instructor, and a great friend to many. He led a life of honor and distinction and expected nothing less of others. He is loved and will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

Bill will be laid to rest along with Kazue at Ft Bliss National Cemetery on his birthday, December 15, 2017 at 1:00pm. All are welcome to attend. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Please visit our online register book at www.sunsetfuneralhomes.net
