Ruth A. Cavanaugh
Menasha - Ruth A. Cavanaugh, age 102, a resident at Gardenview Assisted Living, Menasha, formerly a long time Manitowoc resident entered eternal life early Wednesday morning, February 28, 2018 at Gardenview.
Ruth was born on April 23, 1915 in the town of Meeme, Manitowoc County. She was the daughter of the late Leon and Alma Olm Laack. Ruth had been employed at Holy Family Hospital in Manitowoc from where she retired. She married Woodrow Cavanaugh and he preceded her in death on May 27, 1989. Ruth was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Manitowoc. She enjoyed gardening and sewing.
She is survived by relatives and friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Kay, four brothers and two sisters.
Ruth has been cremated and in honor of her wishes there will be no visitation or funeral services. Her cremated remains will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ann and her staff at Gardenview Assisted Living, Menasha; also, to Heartland Hospice for their care and compassion.
