Mr. Carlisle was born here Feb. 14, 1894, a son of the late Col. Charles Arthur Carlisle. He was educated in South Bend public schools and Purdue University, Lafayette, Ind. He was formerly a member of St. Paul's Memorial Methodist Church here."
