Services for Lt. Col. Richard Marvin Carlisle (ret.) 3347 Southcrest Court, Chambree, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Oglethrope Hill, Rev. Fitzhugh Legerton, Rev. Paul Bennett officiating, burial in ARLINGTON MEMORIAL PARK. (emphasis added)

Col. Carlisle died Sunday. He was secretary-treasurer of the Carlisle Investment Co. for the past eight years. He served for five years in the South Pacific during World War II. He was an elder in the Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church and a member of the Buckhead Rotary Club. Born in South Bend, Ind., he attended Culver Military Academy and was graduated from Yale University in 1929.

Survivors include his widow, the former Florence Goodenough; daughters, Mrs. Robert Craven, San Diego, Calif., and Florence Carlisle, Verona, N.J.; son, Richard M. Carlisle, Jr., Chamblee, and a sister, Mrs. Paul Campbell, San Antonio, Tex. Also five grandchildren."
