Archie Bascom Keen, age 63, of Rt. 1, Swords Creek, Virginia, passed away Sunday evening in a Richlands, Virginia hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born in Russell County, Virginia, he was the son of the late John and Alliefair Boyd Keen and was prceded in death by his wife Ada Vance Keen. He was a school bus driver for Russell County.
Survivors include four daughters; Mrs. Virginia Spiva of Marietta, Georgia, Mrs. Alice Albert, Mrs. Lytie Slate, and Mrs. Ruth Byrd all of Swords Creek, Virginia ; one son, Daniel Keen of Swords Creek, Virginia; five brothers, Bill, John, and Donald Keen all of Swords Creek, Virginia, Charlie Keen of Kopperston, West Virginia, and Arnold Keen of Gilbert, West Virginia; sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Truel Brown and Rev. Kyle Brown officiating.
Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, Va. Honaker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
