Helen Marie Kemble Hudelson, 84, died at 4:36 PM Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, in St. Elizabeth Medical Center, where she had been a patient since Dec. 25, following a lengthy illness. Born Oct. 1, 1915, at New Richmond, IN, she was a graduate of Jefferson High School. On Feb. 7, 1937, she was married to Ruel P. "Judd" Hudelson in Lafayette; he survives.
Mrs. Hudelson, who had been a resident of Lafayette most of her life, had worked at L.S. Ayres for 25 years until her retirement. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Donna Smith of St. Louis, MO; two sons, Jerry Hudelson and William "Bill" Hudelson, both of Lafayette; a brother, Aaron Kemble of Lafayette; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters.
