ELKHART – William Grant “Bill” Goins, 81, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018, at East Lake Nursing & Rehab of Elkhart.

He was born April 25, 1937, in Bramwell, West Virginia, to the late Arthur and Pearl Goins.

Bill worked in the RV industry most of his life, with Richardson Mobile Homes being his favorite place to work.

He loved westerns, walking his dachshunds and taking care of them with his late wife, and loved good food.

Uncle Bill had a heart of gold, even into his final days those around him couldn’t help but notice what a sweet man he was.

He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his grandchildren, Misty Jeanette Widener, Tess Widener and Paige Widener, nephew Brandon Watts and his niece, Michelle Pratt.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gretta Jeanette Goins; his son, Rocky Jerome Goins; stepchildren, Gregory Rufus Widener and Sherry Yvonne Widener Ysias; brothers Howard and JR; and sisters Zelda, Tiffer and Janet.

In accordance with his wishes, his urn will be buried with his wife, Gretta, in Prairie Street cemetery in Elkhart.
Arrangements are in the care of Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
