Pearl Gay Allen Goins, 82, of Route 1, Box 65, Bramwell, died Wednesday, November 27, 1985 in a Bluefield Hospital.
Born April 10, 1903 in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late Ulysses S. Grant Allen and Rhoda Reed Allen.
She had lived in Bramwell all her life and was a housewife. She was a member of the Bramwell Weslyan Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Goins, and one daughter, Janet Bryant.
Survivors: daughters, Mrs. James (Dorothy) Lucas of Newport News, Va., Mrs. Jack (Lillian) Frith of Rocky Mount, Va., Mrs. Roy (Zelda) Cook of Bramwell; sons, Howard Goins and Arthur Goins, Jr., both of Bramwell, William Goins of Elkhart, In.; brother, Donald Allen of Bramwell; sisters, Ethel Hatter, Beatrice Dunn, both of Waynesboro, Va.; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral will be Saturday at 3 p.m at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home, Bluewell, with the Rev. Michael Dickerson officiating and burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Bluewell.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m today.
