A retired miner, born April 15, 1898, he was a native of Patrick County, Va. and a son of William and Martha Goins.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pearl G. Goins; four daughters, Mrs. James (Dorothy) Lucas of Newport News, Va., Mrs. Jack (Lillian) Frith of Rocky Mount, Va., Mrs. Roy (Zelda) Cook of Bramwell and Mrs. Donald (Janet) Bryant of Bluefield; three sons, Howard T. (Nicati) and Arthur M. (Dottie) Goins, Jr., of Bramwell and William G. (Janette) Goins of Elkhart, In.; two brothers, James H. Goins of Claudesville, Va. and George H. Goins of Bramwell; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Pilgrim Holiness Church of Bramwell with Rev. L. K. Davis, Rev. John A. Barnes and Dr. E. P. Eastwood officiating and burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The body remains at Cravens Funeral Home, where friends may call and will be taken to the church one hour prior to the funeral.
Pallbearers; Kenneth Price, John Kerr, Garney Riddle, Robert Cooke, Jr., Louie Shelton, and Ray Hill.
Honorary pallbearers: John Wasco, Robert Cooke, Sr., and Millard Rigney.
