William Frank Allen, 63, of Bramwell, died Friday June 18, 1976, in a Bluefield hospital after an apparent heart attack.
Born January 18, 1913, in Bramwell, he was a son of the late U.S and Rhoda Reed Allen.
A member of the Wesleyan Church in Bramwell, he retired as an employee of the Norfolk and Western Railway in 1974.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Louise Adams Allen; one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (JoAnn) Miles of Kingsport, Tn ; one son, Charles Grant Allen of Bramwell; for sisters, Mrs. Lillian Owens and Mrs. Beatrice Dunn of Waynesboro, Va., Mrs. Lum (Jane) Hatter of Duhring and Mrs. Pearl Goins of Bramwell; two brothers, Don and Forrest Allen, both of Bramwell and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Robert E. Kennedy officiating.
Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery at Bluewell.
Pallbearers: Franklin Tabor, Bill Ellis, Ed Wright, Chester Dunford, Woodrow Bailey, Jim Sutphin, Veoli Popp, and J. W. Bond.
Ladies of the church will be as flowerbearers.
Friends may call today from 5 to 9 p.m.
