Syntha known to all as Katey.Katey passed away at the age of 79. She was the d/o Walker D. and Nancy Wingo Reynolds. Services were conducted at Victor Baptist Church. She and Manning had 9 children. James D, Rev. Jesse W, Johnnie H, Robert L, Nancy Jane, Lilliemae, Nettie Sue and Florence Virgina. She was predeceased by her daughter Lizziebell.Katie's Mother passed away when she was five. She was raised by her Father and his second wife
Leitha Ella Edwards Reynolds[Lucy].Katey was a good Wife and Mother. She had alot of Grandchildren. One of her grandson's told me about her strawberry patch, how she would give them little pails to go pick the berries. When they came back inside she would wash and cut the berries up and sprinkle a little sugar on them.I was born to late to get to know her. I feel like I did know her.I was named kathryn too. Perhaps kindred spirits. I have been told by family that she was native American. I have not been able to trace anything on this. Many family stories and pictures go along with this idea. She is very much loved and missed even by those that were born later. Her memory lingers, still. I would greatly appreciate any information on my Great Grandma but not on her memorial page , please!! Correction is appreciated, just not in an ugly way. Thank you.
