Jimmy Dale Addington passed away in Phoenix on Sunday, August 27, 2017. He was born to Eli and Hazel Addington in Seymour, Texas, on November 17, 1938. He moved to Willcox in 1959. He was known as a great mechanic and worked at many well known garages throughout Willcox, along with the many side jobs he would do at home. He is survived by his children, Kim (John) Sanchez, Brian (Tina) Addington and Timmi (Matt) Hunt. Also surviving him are 8 grandchildren: Danielle Sanchez, John (Savanah) Sanchez, Holly (Adam) Ellis, Charles Williamson, David (Becky) Williamson, Karina (Derek) Merrick, Stephan Addington, and Parker Hunt, along with 9 great grandchildren: Seth, Noah, Brady Williamson, Joseph, Aleesa, Jaxon Sanchez, Nathan and Emily Ellis, and Logan Merrick, one brother Jerry Addington and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Curtis and Elvin Addington; two sisters, Joyce Hurt and Joann Derham and his son Stephen Addington. Jim had been living in Phoenix for years and leaves his significant other, Nancy Leeds behind. Graveside services will be noon on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Sunset Cemetery.
