Lacy L. Maynard, age 84 of hwy. 301 south, Dunn passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Betsy Johnson Hospital. Mr. Maynard was born on July 1, 1934, in Harnett County, the son of the late James Elmon Maynard and Effie Maynard.

He was preceded in death by his Granddaughter, Tiffany Leigh; a daughter-in-law, Betty Diane Maynard; and brothers, Elmon Eldridge, James Floyd, Leslie Harding & James Eldridge Maynard.

Lacy was a member of Redemption Outreach Church. He was a diesel mechanic working for the Ford Tractor Co. for 30 plus years, then worked for John Deere for 20 years retiring in 1998.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Redemption Outreach Church with Rev. Richard Beasley officiating.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years & grammer school sweetheart: Anna Lee Maynard of the home. A Son: Clayton Maynard & (wife) Betty of Dunn, NC A Daughter: Cynthia M. Hieb & (husband) Russell of Dunn, NC Grandchildren: Allen Wood & (wife) Rebekah of Garner, NC; Lacie M. Byrd & (husband) Jeffrey of Dunn, NC. Great Grandchildren: Clayton Alexander Torres, Dianna Grace Torres & Brycen Oliver Byrd. A Brother: Talmadge Maynard of Benson, NC. Sisters: Delphia Chance, Vernell Brewington both of Dunn, NC; Pearl Bell of Clinton, NC; Mavis Louise Maynard of High Point, NC.

The family will receive friends Wednesday Evening from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home and at other times at the home. A Service of Cromartie Miller Funeral Home of Dunn NC
