Mrs. Delphia Mae Chance, age 91 of Dunn, died Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Senior Citizen’s Village in Dunn. Mrs. Chance was born on November 30, 1927 in Sampson County the daughter of the late James Elmon Maynard and Effie Maynor Maynard and is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Allen Chance. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Ada Pearl Bell; brothers, James Floyd, Leslie Harding, Lacy, Talmadge, Elmon Eldridge and James Eldridge Maynard.

Mrs. Chance retired from Alphin Brothers with 23 years of service in the packing department. She attended Shiloh Pentecostal Holiness Chuch, Sansom Community Church and ROC the former Mt. Carmel Church of God.

A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerome Pope & Rev. Eddie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Dunn.

She is survived by: Sisters: Vernell Maynard Brewington of Godwin, NC and Mavis Louise Maynard & (husband) Johnnie of High Point, NC And a host of Nieces & Nephews and Great Nieces & Great Nephews .
