LASSEN COUNT ACCIDENT
Four persons were cremated in a fire which followed an automobile collision. They were Lester Losey, of Sacramento, Sam Manit, Mrs. Bonnie Foster and Thomas Chester Woodell, all of Portola, California.

FUNERALS WERE HELD FOR PORTOLA ACCIDENT VICTIMS
PORTOLA (Plumas County), November 30, 1936 - Funeral services were held here yesterday for Sam Manit, 39, one of four victims of Friday's (November 27, 1936) automobile collision on the Purdy Highway. Mrs. Bonnie Foster, 46, another victim, was buried yesterday.
Mrs. Foster was a native of Garret, Indiana and leaves three daughters, Mrs. Genevieve McFadden of San Francisco, Mrs. Madaline Cole of Tuolumne and Mrs. Marylyn Gossett of Live Oak.
She was a member of the Auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Railroad Enginemen and Firemen. Her funeral also was attended by many friends.
Both burials were in the Shady Grove Cemetery, Portola. The arrangements were made by the Rees Mortuary.

FUNERAL HELD FOR MRS. BONNIE FOSTER
Funeral services were held at Portola Monday afternoon for Mrs. Bonnie Foster, burned victim of an automobile accident on the Reno-Purdy Highway.
The lady was a native of Garrett, Indiana and aged 43 years, 2 months and 19 days.
She had been a resident of Portola and vicinity for the past 20 years. Her husband passed away five years ago.
Surviving are the following daughters: Mrs. G. McFadden of Oakland, Mrs. Madeline Cole of Tuolumne and Mrs. Marion Gossett of Live Oak, California.
Services were held from the Rees Mortuary with interment in the Shady Grove Cemetery. Reverend C. R. Hess officiated.
