Final Rites Are Held For Arlington Allman

Final rites were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Iler funeral home in Garrett, for Arlington L. Allman, 66, a native of Garrett who died Wednesday at 9:45 p.m. in the Veterans Administration hospital, Fort Wayne. He had been ill two years and a patient in the hospital 18 days. Cancer of the throat caused his death.

Felix D. Walker, pastor of the Garrett Church of Christ, officiated at the services and burial followed in Union cemetery.

Mr. Allman was a World war II veteran and the Garrett American Legion post conducted graveside services.

Mr. Allman was born Jan. 31, 1887, in Garrett, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Allman. He and Ada Cogswell of Auburn were married and she died two years ago. He was a member of the F. O. Eagles.

The only survivor is a brother, Clyde, of Fort Wayne.

Arlington Allman was better known as "Doc."
