Was Born in Garrett in 1878

Mrs. Bessie Pearl Doehrmann of Fort Wayne, passed away Monday morning, March 26, 1928 at 8:20 o'clock at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson R. Allman of 519 South Franklin Street, Garrett.

Mrs. Doehrmann, who was fifty years of age, was in ill health for the last year. She was stricken with paralysis two weeks ago, her left side being affected, and she became unconscious a few days later. A second stroke resulted fatally. She was brought to her parents' home March 18, 1927 from Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Doehrmann was born in Garrett January 22, 1878, and lived in Garrett until she was twenty-five years old. She married Christ Miser of Auburn, March 5, 1900 and they had one child, who is now Mrs. Madonna Haynes of Gary. After divorcing her first husband on June 14, 1910 in Garrett, she married Carl Doehrmann eleven years ago and they have been residing in Fort Wayne since that time.

Surviving besides the husband, daughter and the parents are two grandchildren, two brothers, A. L. Allman of Toledo, Ohio, and Clyde J. Allman of Gary, and one sister, Mrs. A. R. (Bonnie) Foster of Portola, California. Mrs. Doehrmann was a member of the Altona Methodist Protestant Church.

Mrs. Foster will arrive from California tonight and the funeral will be held at the Allman home Friday morning at 10 o'clock. The Reverend Burl M. Bechdolt will officiate and interment will be made in the Union Cemetery.
