Fred Felix Sparrow was born Dec. 10, 1889,in Farmer City, a son of Benjamin and Elizabeth [McCance] Sparrow. He married Madge Van Note in Clinton, in March, 1909. She died in 1961.
Surviving are four sons, Lester Sparrow, Cecil Sparrow, Joseph Sparrow and Essel; seven daughters, Miss Patty Sparrow, Mrs. Ruby Branson, Mrs. Virginia Murray, Mrs. Bernice Saathoff; Mrs. Peggy Stretch, Miss Ethel Sparrow, Mrs. Mary Eliott; two brothers, Barney Sparrow, Guy Sparrow; three sisters, Mrs. Jessie Morgan, Mrs. Ruth Ready and Mrs. Emma Tatman.
Two sons,[Ralph Ivan ( - 1923) and Ivan Paul ( - 1923)] a daughter, [Lois Joan (1933-1934)] and four sisters preceded him in death.
A retired farmer, Mr. Sparrow lived in Champaign for 12 years after moving from Farmer City.
