FARMER CITY- Lester F. Sparrow, 65, of Akron, Ohio, a native of Farmer City, died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Akron according to word received here.
His funeral and burial were at Akron.
Mr. Sparrow was born Oct. 25, 1910, in Farmer City, a son of Fred and Madge VanNote Sparrow.
Surviving are a son, Joseph; three brothers, Cecil, Bill and Joe; six sisters, Mrs Ruby Branson, Mrs. Bernice Saathoff, Mrs. Peggy Stretch, Mrs. Mary Elliott, Miss Patricia Sparrow and Mrs. Virginia Murray and three grandchildren.
He was a veteran of World War II.
