Gloria Abreo Galan, 90, of Abilene, formerly of Big Spring died Friday, June 19, 2020.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM Wednesday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday at Myers & Smith Chapel with burial at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.

Gloria was born March 24, 1930, in Big Spring to Luz and Domingo Abreo.

She married Felix Galan on November 12, 1949 in Big Spring. He preceded her in death on May 5, 2007.

She moved to Abilene in 2015.

She was a homemaker and was a member of La Fe Baptist Church where she was a very active and faithful member.

Gloria loved sewing. She was an excellent seamstress.

She also loved cooking and crafts.

Gloria is survived by five children: Noemi Chinchilla of Fresco, Avel Galan of Kerrville, Silbia Galan of London, Ark., Erene Akin of Abilene, and Geneva Garcia of Houston; one sister: Mary Elizabeth Rainey of Boerne; four brothers: Efren Abreo of Austin, Noel Abreo of Lubbock, David Abreo of Ft. Worth, and Jimmy Abreo of Big Spring; 15 grandchildren; and 39 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law: David Edward Garcia; four siblings: Mary Ann Ficke, Salvador Abreo, Fe Acosta, and Esperanza De Silva.
