Son of Domingo Abreao and Luz Barraza Abreo. According to the 1940 US Federal Census of Martin County, Texas, their children were: Salvado (14), Fay (12), Gloria (10), Effren (8), Noah (6), Jim (4), and David (2).

Salvador enlisted in the United States Army January 29, 1944 and sent overseas with the 406th Infantry Regiment, Company C, 102nd Ozark Division. He lost his life serving our country with the 406th Infantry Regiment, Company C, 102nd Ozark Division. Army Service No. (ASN): 38608543. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart.

After the war, he was returned from Germany and reburied July 28, 1949, in the Mount Olive Cemetery.
