LOGAN - W. H. (Willie) Stewart, 65, Logan, died Sunday evening of a heart attack at his home. He had attended church services and died upon his return home.
Mr. Stewart, son of James E. Stewart and Julia Ann Fitzgerald Stewart, was born in Logan, April 9, 1886 and was a lifelong resident of this city. His father was the first president of the old Brigham Young College in Logan.
He attended school in the Logan City School District, at the Brigham Young College, where he was a graduate, and at the Utah State Agricultural College, where he also was graduated.
On November 22, 1911 he married Mabel Richards in the Logan Temple.
Active in affairs of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served on a mission to the Northern States from November 1906 to February 1909. At the time of his death, he was high priest in the Mt. Logan Stake and the Eleventh Ward.
At the time of his death, he was a real estate agent in Logan. With his brother, R. A. Stewart, he operated the Stewart Real Estate Insurance and Loan Company. He began his real estate work in 1912 with his father, and has continued in the business since then.
Surviving are his wife of Logan, four of his five children: Boyd H. Stewart, and T. Lynn Stewart, of Logan; Mrs. Gale Knight, Provo; and Mrs. June Spackman, Layton; 13 grandchildren; and the following brothers and sisters: Dr. I. P. Steward, R. A. Stewart, Eugene F. Stewart, Mrs. Carrie Humphreys, and Mrs. Jessie Reese, all of Logan.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Logan Eleventh Ward Chapel with Bishop Reed Bullen conducting. Burial will be in the family plot of the Logan City Cemetery.
