Obituary from The Herald-Journal (Logan, UT) - Monday, April 18, 1966:
Mabel Richards Stewart, 72, widow of W. H. Stewart, died Saturday at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. T. Lynn Stewart.
She was born July 11, 1893 in Fielding, Utah, a daughter of Fred W. Richards and Caroline Laub Richards. She married Willie H. Stewart in the Logan LDS Temple on November 29, 1911. He died August 26, 1951.
Mrs. Stewart was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Wilford Woodruff Camp, and served as an officer. She had been a temple officiator in the Logan Temple for 13 years and was active in all the auxiliaries of the LDS Church. She was primary president for ten years and had taught in the primary for 20 years.
Survivors include four children, Mrs. Gale S. Knight, Salt Lake City; Boyd H. Stewart, Weston, Idaho; Mrs. Clair B. (June) Spackman, Kaysville; T. Lynn Stewart, North Logan; 26 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; and the following sisters: Mrs. Val W. (Alta) Palmer, Logan; Lucille Richards, Salt Lake City; Mrs. C. A. (Nan) Stevenson, Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Logan 11th Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Lowell Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in the family plot of Logan City Cemetery.
