Rachel Cassell Fulcher, 93, of Fieldale, died Friday, November 9, 2007, at her home.
She was born in Vesta on April 13, 1914 and was a daughter of the late Austin Elmer Cassell and Louisa Bonnitta Cassell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Franklin R. Fulcher; a daughter, Jean Fulcher Rorrer; a sister, Minnie Anice Cassell; and four brothers, Elisha Edgar Cassell, Leland Matterrson Cassell, Murray Elmer Cassell and Champ Clark Cassell.
She retired from Fieldcrest Mills after 47 years of service and was a member of Fieldale United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Frank "Pete" Fulcher of Bassett and Smith Wayne Fulcher of Fieldale; one sister, Annie Maude Lawless of Fieldale; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home, Bassett Chapel by the Rev. George Gorman. Burial was in Roselawn Burial Park.
Pallbearers were Keith Fulcher, Kent Fulcher, Mark Fulcher, Barry Fulcher, John Pete Fulcher and Ken Via.
