WYLIE MCMILLON HILL
Wylie M. Hill, 68, died Thursday night, October 20, 1950 at his home in Bramwell following an illness of six months.
Born April 14, 1882, Mr. Hill, who retired from active duty with the Mill Creek Coal Company after 40 years service was a son of the late Felix Shelton and Nancy Ellen Dixon Hill.
Survivors are his wife Mrs. Mary Blanche Williamson Hill; three sons, Herman W., Harold L. and Hampton D. Hill all of Bramwell; three daughters, Mrs. Howard (Hattie) Rigney and Miss Honey Hill of Bramwell, and Mrs E. H (Dot) James, Jr. of Laurel, Md.; two brothers Jess of Bramwell and John of Roanoke; and two sisters, Miss Sessie Hill and Miss Nora Hill of Bramwell.
Two sons preceded Mr. Hill in death, Howell ‘Skee' who was killed in WWII and Herbert ‘Teddy' who died as a child.
Mr. Hill was a member of the Bramwell Presbyterian Church and Union Local No 6166, UMW.
The body will remain at Mercer Funeral Home pending completion of arrangements.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Bluewell.
