Edsel J. Holfeltz, 81, of Howards Grove, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2007, at Columbia St. Mary's in Mequon.

Ed was born April 12, 1926 in Manitowoc to the late Mr.& Mrs. John Holfeltz. He attended St. Isadore in Valders.

On August 30, 1952, he married Rosemary Wagner at St. Fidelis in Spring Valley.

Edsel was a 35 year employee of the Kohler Company, and a member of Holy Trinity Parish in School Hill. He was a member of Catholic Knights branch 13, and a 4th Degree Knight, Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Town of Sheboygan Volunteer Fire Department for many years.

He enjoyed working with wood, especially whittling, and loved to pontoon and camp, while spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed his many trips to Florida.

In addition to his wife Rosemary, Ed is survived by his sons, Mike (Linda) Holfeltz of Sheboygan, Tom (Kate) Holfeltz of Plymouth, and his daughters Donna (Peter-Buck) Doyle of Sheboygan, Debbie (Scott) Linder of Mississippi and a daughter-in-law Sue Holfeltz of Cascade. He is further survived by his twelve grandchildren, Peter (Carrie) Doyle, Eric Doyle and Fiancée Rhonda Smith, Valerie (Jason) Korth, Kyle, Lori, and Cody Holfeltz, Jenni and Joshua Freis, Johanna (Dane) Schmidt, Matt (Jess) Holfeltz, and Heidi, Diana, and Francesca Linder. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Phillip, Colin, Dylan, and Alexis Doyle, Jazzmyn and Wylliam Korth, and Seth Schmidt, a sister, June Miller of Sheboygan, sister-in law Lorraine (Wilfred ) Diederich of Florida, and Eileen Mischock of Sheboygan Falls, brother-in-law, Ken (Marie) Wagner of Sheboygan.

He was preceded in death by a son Jerry Holfeltz, a brother Kenwood Holfeltz, brother-in laws Wilfred Miller, and LaRon Mischock, and a sister-in-law Alice Mischock.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Ed Friday, December 28, 2007, at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in School Hill, the Reverend Father Gregory will be the Celebrant. Friends may call on Thursday December 27, 2007, from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Zimmer's Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center (Hwy JJ and 42 Howards Grove), and at the church on Friday from 9:30 until the time of service. Burial will take place in the Holy Trinity Cemetery, School Hill.
