Kenneth Earl Libke
Kenneth Earl Libke. 64, of 136 South High Street, Romney, W.Va., died Thursday, February 4, 1993 at his home.
He was born June 1, 1928 in New Holstein, the son of the late Herman and Helen Jockimsen Libke. He was a retired supervisor for GTE In Plymouth. He was in the U.S. Marines from 1952 to 1954. He was a member of Community United Church of Christ, Elkhart Lake and a member of V.F.W., New Holstein.
Survivors include Bettebelle Popp Libke, of Romney, W.Va.; two daughters, Faith Peterson, of Fayettville, N.C. and Dawn Mullen, of Manassas, Va; two brothers, Glendon Libke, of New Holstein; Orville Libke, of Kiel; four sisters, Viola Libke, of New Holstein; Jean Conrad and Delphia Salzman, both of Kiel and Florence Bruckner, of Chilton and four grandchildren.
Preceding him in death, were two brothers and one sister.
Memorial services will be at Romney First United Methodist Church on Sunday, February 7, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Douglas N. Shepherd officiating. The body will be cremated and burial will be a later date. There will be no visitation. Arrangements were by Shaffer Funeral Home, Romney, W.Va.
