He was born Sept. 15, 1911 in New Holstein, a son of the late Herman and Helen Jochimsen Libke.
On Sept. 8, 1945 he married Alma “Dixie” Muellenbach at St. Charles Catholic Church in Charlesburg. Glen worked for many years for the New Holstein Water and Waste Water Utility Department. He retired in 1976.
Glen was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein, the Holy Name Society, a former member of the New Holstein Fire Department for 25 years, served as a city 3rd ward alderman and as a Calumet County Board Supervisor.
Survivors include his wife, Dixie of New Holstein; four daughters, Jeanne (Michael) Schmal of Fond du Lac, Von (Michael) Hemauer of Wausau, Lois (Arlyn) Nett of Marshfield, and Terese (Mark) Koenigs of Malone; 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one brother, Orville Libke of Kiel; and two sisters, Delphia Salzman of Kiel and Florence Bruckner of Chilton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Ervin, Roland and Kenneth; and three sisters, Gene Conrad, Viola Libke and Shirley Libke.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2003 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. The Rev. Frank Weber, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call at the Sippel Funeral Home in New Holstein on Thursday from 2 to 6:30 p.m. when brief family rites will be held.
