Life Story for Elizabeth Louise "Betty" Jeske (Evenson)

Elizabeth "Betty" L. Jeske, age 85, a Manitowoc resident, died peacefully early Friday morning June 21, 2013 at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers surrounded by her family.

Betty was born on February 17, 1928 daughter of the late Bennet and Myrna (Damm) Evenson. She graduated from Valders High School. On July 17, 1954 she married Theodore F. Jeske at Valders West Church. He preceded her in death on February 13, 1998. Betty was employed with the Valders Telephone Company as an operator for several years. She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church and also the Homemakers Association. Betty enjoyed cooking and gardening, especially her roses. She loved to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law; Ted and LeeAnn Jeske, Manitowoc, Bruce and Ann Jeske, Manitowoc, one daughter; Julie Jeske, and special friend, Greg Kloida, Manitowoc, five grandchildren; Barbara (Chris) Krummel, Ted Jeske, special friend, Renee Henning, Joey Jeske, Jessica Jeske, Jennifer Jeske, two great grandchildren; Dawson Krummel and Stella Krummel, two brothers and sisters-in-law; Marlyn and Margaret Evenson, Valders, Dennis and Marlene Evenson, two sisters; Joyce Wiegert, Valders, Virginia Meyer, Valders, one brother-in-law; Daniel Meyer, Valders, five sisters-in-law; Helen Griffin, Manitowoc, Esther Jeske, Manitowoc, Veronica Evenson, Valders, Judy Evenson, Valders, Dory Evenson, Valders. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Betty was also preceded in death by two sisters and one brother-in-law; Ruby and Clifford Meyer, June Meyer, three brothers; Gene Evenson, Donald Evenson, Roger Evenson, three sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Lucy and Ted Schroeder, Eunice and Donald Bastian, Leona and Randy Harrison, five brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law; Ronald Jeske, Phillip and Lila Jeske, Edwin Griffin, Bill Wiegert, Bob Meyer.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday June 25, 2013 at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Erica Cunningham with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, Hwy 310 Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM on Tuesday June 25, 2013 at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders.
