WATERLOO -- Harold D. Osgood, 69, of 237 Madison Street, died on Tuesday, September 30, at Allen Memorial Hospital of cancer.
He was born on January 29, 1928, in Cedar Falls, the son of John D. and Flossie Wideman Osgood. He married Joyce S. Kottman on October 29, 1955, in Washburn.
Mr. Osgood worked as a custodian for the Waterloo Community Schools at Edison Elementary, retiring in 1991. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife; two daughter, Teresa Maldonado of Spring, Texas, and Rebecca Peacock of Gerlock, Nevada; four grandchildren; his mother, Flossie Lusthoff of Waterloo; and four sisters, Daarlene Marquart, Bernice Jones, Rosie Massina, and Ardeth Rockwood, all of Waterloo.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Jr.
Memorial services at Christ Lutheran Church. His body was cremated.
Locke Funeral Home handled arrangements.
