Irene M. (Damiani) Werbung, 93, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 4:55 am at Canterbury Villa of Alliance.
Born on June 22, 1929 in Alliance, to Giulio and Rosa (Pietraroli) Damiani, she lived in Alliance all of her life.
A 1948 graduate of Alliance High School, Irene was employed at Dr. Dean Haramis as a dental assistant for many years.
Irene enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and playing cards, and watching the Cleveland Indians, the Browns and bowling tournaments.
Survivors include several nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Charles A. Werbung, whom she married on June 18, 1949 and who died on December 3, 1998; her parents; seven sisters, Helen Carretta, Edith Yakovac, Mafalda "Molly" Moore, Yolanda Cook, Margaret Falcone, Louise Zambron and Jean Pistillo; and four brothers, Joseph Damiani, Armando Damiani, Mario Damiani and Paul Damiani.
There will be no funeral services. The inurnment will take place at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the choice of the donor.
