Funeral services for North Lincoln Elementary custodian Joseph Damiani, 84, of 1466 S. Linden Ave., will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with burial to follow in City Cemetery.

Mr. Damiani died Tuesday at 9:45 a.m. at the Alliance City Hospital after a long illness.

A life resident of the area, he was born March 19, 1909 in Avezzano, Italy, the son of the late Giulio and Rose Pietraroli Damiani.

He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Disabled American Veterans and the Ohio Association of Public School Employes.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Geraldine in 1944; a sister, Mrs. Yolanda Cook in 1964 and a brother, Armando in 1945.

Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Canonico Damiana; two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Joyce) Parks of Alliance and Janet Damiani of the home; a brother, Mario of Alliance and seven sisters, Mrs. Vincent (Helen) Carretta, Mrs. Frank (Edith) Yakovac, Mrs. Wilbur (Mafalda) Moore, Mrs. Marcus (Margaret) Falcone, Mrs. Anthony (Louise) Zambron, Mrs. Charles (Irene) Werbung, all of Alliance, and Mrs. Joseph (Jean) Pistillo of Marlboro.
