Jack was born April 10, 1935 to Willis Arthur Pickering and Beatrice Melvina (Sansocie) Pickering. He joined the Army and retired from Army as Chief Warrant Officer. He then entered the civil service basically doing the same job as he did in the Army and retired from civil service. While in the Army, he was stationed in different parts the world, that's when he met the love of his life, Lucy Wong (she survives) and they got married 12/29/1961 in Taiwan.
After retirement Jack and Lucy finally settled in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Helen Northrop, Marian Taylor-Brewer & JoAnne Corder (husband) Don , four brothers, Athur Pickering (Mildred), Earl Pickering (Betty), Alfred Pickering (June) and Harvey Pickering (Mary), nephew, Ronald Northrop and niece, Shelly Taylor-Smith. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
