He was born April 10, 1878, in Town of Delta, son of Leonard and Margaret Duff Hale. He was educated in Rome schools and lived in this area all his life.
In 1914, he married Elizabeth Payne in Canastota.
Mr. Hale worked for Revere Copper and Brass 38 years, retiring about five years ago. He attended First Presbyterian Church.
He leaves his wife; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Kline, Mrs. Margaret Blair and Mrs. Arlow Thayer, all of Rome; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 2 Monday from the Martin J. Nunn Funeral Home here, the Rev. Jennings B. Reid pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery, Camden.
Calling hours 7 to 9 tonight, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tomorrow at the funeral home.
