Kathleen "Dove" Dove (Snibley) Pederson, 77, of Ojai, California, passed away on February 12, 2023. She joined her beloved husband, Richard "Pete" John Pederson, 82, of Ojai, California who passed away on December 15, 2022. Dove was born April 25, 1945, in Oak View, California to Leonard & Lorraine (Northcott) Snibley. Pete was born August 27, 1940, in Oak View, California to Ole & Stella (Stanglen) Pederson. Dove and Pete were high school sweethearts who were married for over 60 years, they married on January 6, 1961, in Oak View, California. Their love transcended time and they were never far from each other. If you saw Dove, you saw Pete. Pete served as a volunteer firefighter from 1968-1972. They were in the restaurant business for over 20 years, starting with the "Burger House" operating from 1974-1979, then opening "Jovanni's", then finally ending their successful run with "Pederson's Ojai Kitchen", which closed its doors in 1995. Pete was a security guard at the Ojai Valley Inn during his retirement years from 1998-2012. They enjoyed traveling throughout the country and spending time with their family. Both enjoyed polka dancing. They have survived by their beloved family: daughter, Sherry of Ojai, California; son, Dean (daughter-in law, Tracy), of Elgin, Texas. Four grandchildren: Lauren (partner Chuck) of Ojai, California; Ryan (wife Kaitlyn) of Dillon, Montana; Sarah and Kelsey of Santa Paula, California. They leave behind their cherished pets, Cassie, Taz and 'grandpup' Xena. The family would like to express their love and gratitude to everyone who reached out during this difficult time. While we grieve and miss them, we are grateful Dove and Pete are united again in the heavens. There will be a Celebration of Life in Summer 2023 in Ojai, California.
