Barbara Roberts passed away Friday February 24, 2023. Barbara was born December 17, 1949 in Orland, CA. Her parents, Evelyn and Joseph Seavers continued to live in Orland her entire life. Barbara attended elementary school in Orland and was in the class of 1968 at Orland High School. While in high school she met the love of her life, Keith and they married in 1968 in Reno, NV. After marriage "Barb" and Keith stayed in the area for a while moving between Orland, Willows, and other areas. Their first son, Mark was born in 1969 and soon after they moved to Yreka, CA. While in Yreka their second son was born, Craig in 1973. On the move again Barbara and her young family then relocated to Fresno, CA as Keith's work at the time had him moving often. They remained in Fresno until 1978 when the opportunity to relocate to Capay, CA where Keith's family had a 20 + acre almond farm. During the years in Capay Barbara enjoyed working for several companies, traveling all over the USA and hosting their infamous yearly parties with a live band. It was also during this time she started volunteering at Bidwell Mansion as a tour guide and supporting the Capay Volunteer Fire Department. She was known to be a hard worker and there are many stories of Keith coming home and finding that she had demolished a room or building for renovations without his knowledge… classic Barb. After over 20 years in Capay she finally moved to Chico, CA with Keith in 2000 and continued to travel.

The last years in Chico included the long-awaited addition of grandchildren which included, Colin, Emily and Eleanor "Nora". Keith passed in 2015 and her remaining years were focused on spoiling her grandchildren, spending time with her sisters and brother, and planning gatherings with her high school friends and others.

She is survived by her sons Mark, Craig (Felicia); her grandchildren Colin, Emily and Nora; her brother Jim; and sisters, Patricia, Caryl and Shelley.

A memorial service has not been scheduled yet.
