HERMAN FRANZ
Herman Franz, 63, retired town of Mishicot farmer and lumberman died
yesterday at his home following a stroke.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Specht funeral
home in Mishicot and at 10 a.m. at the Holy Cross Catholic church,
Mishicot, the Rev. George Beth officiating. Burial will be in the Holy
Cross cemetery.
Mr. Franz was born in 1883. He married Rose Bonfigt in 1906. She survives
with three sons, Roland, route 2, Two Rivers, Cyril and Victor on the home
farm; five daughters, Mrs. John Haag and Mrs. Harold Wilfert of Manitowoc,
Mrs. Wencil Oswald of Mishicot, Mrs. Louis Brunner of Branch and Mrs.
Francis Fricke of route 5, Manitowoc; four brothers, Albert of route 3,
Manitowoc, Alex, John and Fred of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Rudolph Pilgrim
of Kewaunee; and eight grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the Specht funeral home from Saturday evening
until time of services Tuesday. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday
and Monday evenings. Mr. Franz was a member of the Holy Name society and was
at one time a town of Mishicot supervisor.
