Charles "Ned" Davis
Mr. Charles "Ned" Davis, 61, of Morganton, N.C. passed away on Monday, March 31, 2008, at Grace Hospital following a period of declining health.
Mr. Davis was born on May 16, 1946, in Burke County to the late Victor Davis and Annie Mae Harris Davis.
Charles was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Vietnam, a member of Grandview Baptist Church and was previously employed with Davis Logging as a timber cutter.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Danny Davis; one stepbrother, Steve Saulmon; and one sister, Ruby Davis Mode.
Survivors include his wife, Ramona Huffman Davis, of the home; two daughters, Elizabeth and Belinda Davis, of the home; one son, Charles V. Davis; twin brother, Paul Edd Davis Sr.; brother, James Victor Davis and wife, Carole; two sisters, Louise Davis Smith and husband, John, Linda Davis Perry and husband Steve, all of Morganton; two step-brothers, Larry Saulmon, of Morganton and Robert Saulmon, of Marion; one stepsister Ann Branch of Marion; and two grandchildren.
Interment will follow at Grandview Baptist Church Cemetery in Morganton.
