Linda Davis Perry
Linda D. Perry, 66, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, following a 10-month-long illness.
She was born in Burke County on June 29, 1943, and was a daughter of the late Victor Columbus Davis and Annie Mae Harris Davis.
Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family, attending church, gardening, needlework and fishing with her best friend, her husband, Steve. She was a devoted member of Fairview United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Steve M. Perry; daughters, Karen P. Coleman and her husband, Dean, Vivian P. Clarke, and Stephanie P. Smith and her husband, Stephen; grandchildren, Deanna and D.J. Coleman, Sierra Clarke, Kelsey Williamson and Hunter and Katelyn Smith; her sister, Louise Smith and her husband, John; brothers, Jim Davis and his wife, Carole, Edd Davis and Larry Saulman; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Mode; and by brothers, Danny Davis and Ned Davis.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Fairview United Methodist Church with the Revs. Ed Stephenson and Michael Brown officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
