Mr. Paul "Ed" Davis Sr., 65, of Morganton, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, following a period of declining health.
Paul was born on May 16, 1946 in Burke County to the late Victor "Vic" and Annie Mae Harris Davis. He was a member of Grandview Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Charles "Ned" Davis and Danny Davis, two sisters Linda Perry and Ruby Mode.
Survivors include his children Angel Lynn Rose and husband Steve of Mooresville, Dr. James Victor Davis II and wife Christina of Concord, Paul Ed Davis Jr. and wife Tracy of Morganton, grandchildren Kelsie, Justin, Bailey, Hannah, Callie, Addison, Kaylee, and Paula. Also surviving are one brother James "Jim" Davis, one sister Louise Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Grandview Baptist Church, Morganton with the Rev. John Whisnant officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 P.M on Thursday at Grandview Baptist Church, Morganton.
