Mrs. Helen C. "Mom" Bittner, 85, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 1992 in Akron General Medical Center after a short illness.

Born in Akron, she had lived in Akron most of her life, living the last 56 years in Lakemore. She was a member of Lakemore Methodist Church. Mrs. Bittner served as a past president of the Ladies State Fireman's Auxiliary, treasurer of the Village of Lakemore for 17 years. She was also a member of Mogadore Boat Club, the Historical Society, and Springfield Lake Regatta, both of Lakemore, Lakemore Lions Club, and Lakemore Daughters of America.

Mrs. Bittner was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar in 1971; and son, Clifton (Buzz) in 1981; and daughter, Louise Marie Robinson in 1991. She leaves five children and their spouses; a daughter-in-law; and son-in-law; sisters, Katherine Wren in Akron, and Norma Brown in California; plus 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home will hold services on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Burial in Hillside Memorial Park.
