Anna Mary Buck was a daughter of Robert and Sarah Joice Buck. She was briefly a school teacher before her marriage to Frank Ezra Haley on August 8, 1886 at Mount Salem Methodist Church in Wilmington. She was in her younger years a fine horsewoman. She loved gardening, especially her rosebeds.
She and husband Frank had three children: Joseph Allison Haley, Walter Leslie Haley, and Mildred Morgan Haley.
She died of heart failure at 84 years of age.
