Harold Richard Null, 79, of 34 Hillcrest Ave., Waynesboro, a guest in Quincy United Methodist Home, died at 11:36 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11, 1994, in the nursing home. He had been in failing health for the past 10 years and had been critically ill for the past two weeks. Born Dec. 11, 1914, in Wayne Heights, he was the son of the late Harold Luther and Bessie (Rowe) Null. He lived most of his life in the Wayne Heights area.
He graduated from Washington Township High School in 1932 and Waynesboro High School in 1933.
He then attended banking school at Bucknell University in Lewisburg. He and his wife, Lillian M. (Gruber) Null, were married Sept. 17, 1938. They had at lived at the present residence since 1950.
Mr. Null entered the nursing home two days before his death. He served as president of Null Machine Shop Inc., in Wayne Heights for many years. He joined Citizens National Bank and Trust Co., Waynesboro, on June 1, 1934, as a bookkeeper and retired June 1, 1984, as a cashier. Mr. Null also served as vice president and secretary to the board of directors of the bank. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Waynesboro. Mr. Null also was a member of the National Rule Associauon. the
national AARP, the Pennsylvania Bankers Associauon and a former member of the Waynesboro Rotary
Club and the Cumberland Valley Rifle Team.
In addiuon to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Carol A. Christensen of Quincy, Sharon L. Warner and Almeda M. Birely, both of Blue Ridge Summit and Kimberly S. Gray of Chambersburg; five
grandchildren ; two great-grandchildren; five sisters, Beatrice N. Rowe, Elizabeth N. Sachs, Yula N. Shank, Velva N. Bowers and Ruthanna N. McFerren, all of Waynesboro; one brother, Thurlow R. Null of Waynesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Samuel Luther Null, and a sister, Frances N. Welty, who died in July 1988.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Christ United Methodist Church, 6. W. Second St., Waynesboro, with the Rev. Roger H. Mentzer officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
