E. SASSER DIES; SERVICE SUNDAY
E. Sasser, 76, London Route 4, died at 6 a.m. August 4 at the Marymount Hospital. The body was removed to the House Funeral Home from where services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday by the Revs. Denvis Rush and Bill George. Burial followed in the Pilgrim Rest Cemetery at Blackwater. Pallbearers were Woodson Johynson, Morgan Garland, Rufus and Arvil George, Emmitt Phipps and Herman Feichter. A native of Laurel County, he was born July 6, 1891, he son of Felix and Mahulda Hale Sasser. He was a veteran of World War I. Mr. Sasser was married in Laurel County on Nov. 3, 1921 to Rose Benge and she and two daughters and one son, survive; Wilma Cornett and Loretta Robinson, both of London Route 5 and Clyde Sasser, Utica, KY. He also leaves two sisters and three brothers: Mary Lewis and Hartford Sasser, both of London, Route 4; Sarah B. Cheek, London; Marshall Sasser, Liberty; and Richard Sasser, Connersville, and 13 grandchildren.
