Mrs. Mary Etta Lewis, 77, 403 East Third Street, died at 9:05 a.m. March 2 at the Marymount Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at the House Funeral Home at 1 p.m. today (Thursday) with the Rev. Vernon Minton officiating. Burial will follow in the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery at Blackwater.
A native of Laurel County, Mrs. Lewis was born Dec. 29, 1892, the daughter of Felix and Mahulda Hale Sasser. She was married Nov. 21, 1910, in Laurel County, to Thomas Lewis, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Lewis was member of the Union United Baptist Church. surviving are three daugthers and one son: Fern Grace and Faye Garsnett, both of Indianapolis; Glenna Johnson, London; and
Paul Lewis, Lexington; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She also leaves one sister and three brothers: Hartford Sasser, London Route 4;
Sarah B. Cheek, London; Marshall Sasser, Liberty; and Rich Sasser, Connersville, IN.
