Dr. Hultner reports the arrival of a daughter, Friday, March 8, 1913, to Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Blankenship of this city. The infant daughter named, Murlie Pearl Blankenship.

The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Blankenship of Belle Plaine died Wednesday. The child was born March 8, 1918 and died March 13, 1918, burial services were held Wednesday afternoon.

Murlie was Dola and Aaron Blankenship's only daughter. She weighed thirteen pounds when born and died of an umbilical cord infection.

At the time of Murlies passing the family lived two miles southwest of Belle Plaine on the old Siceloff farm they rented.

Murlie was interred at the Lawless Cemetery south of town.

Murlie Pearl was named after Dola Warriner Blankenship's best friend, Edna PEARL Miller Helm. Pearl and her husband, Millard Christopher Helm were friends with Aaron and Dola Warriner Blankenship family.
