Joseph was born Sep 8, 1862 in St. Denis, Quebec, the son of Guilliaume Boucher and Marcelline Caron but because of his father's untimely death, was raised by his mother and Uncle Samuel, in a small cabin in St. Philip de Neri. Joseph came to Worcester as a young man and worked in the Paquette brickyard on Crow Hill, until he was able to buy it. His obituary refers to him as a former brick manufacturer for 28 years. When the brickyard shut down Joseph had $22,000 and 22 horses. For more about the brickyard visit www.johnandthereseboucher.com/?page_id=152. Joseph's next venture was a "milk and cream business," called Boucher's Milk.
