Clara M. Davies , 74, of North Street died Friday at her home after a brief illness.
Mrs. Davies was a life resident of the Cleveland area. She was a practical nurse and did home care for several years along the north shore of Oneida Lake. Mrs. Davies also was a hostess for more than 30 years of Friendly Home Parties. She was a graduate of Cleveland Union School. She was the widow of Peter Faes and Clifton Drake.
Mrs. Davies was a member of Cleveland Bible Chapel and the Cleveland Senior Citizens. She was a former member of the auxiliary of the Cleveland Post, VFW.
Surviving are her husband, Donald; a son, Staff Sgt. Francis Drake, stationed at Tindall Air Force Base in Panama City, Fla.; seven sisters, Doris Angarano of Memphis, Theresa Smith of Jacksonville, Fla., Bernice Bolster of Westdale, Fla., Helen Reed, Mildred Darling and Leta Campany, all of Oneida, and Geraldine Clark of Rome; three brothers, Richard Darling of Cleveland, Norman Darling of St. George, Fla., and Gerald Darling of Jacksonsville, Fla.; two grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sanborn-McDaniels & LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Camden. Burial will be in Maple Flats Cemetery, Cleveland.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 109 Main St.
