Funeral services for Conyel Young, 87, Houston Court, Athens, were at 11 a.m. Monday at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Burl Grubb, Bro. Fred Evans and Bro. Winston Brackeen officiating. Burial was in the City Cemetery.
Mr. Young died at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Young; three daughters, Mrs. C.S. Holt of Athens, Mrs. Sue Dye of Pontiac, Michigan, and Mrs. Roberta Gray of Birmingham; two sons, Houston Young of Athens and Ronald Young of Huntsville; 24 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
