Staffordsville resident, Lillian Mahan, 65, died Monday, January 22, in Highlands Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Mahan wsa born March 26, 1924 in Johnson County, the daughter of Jesse and Edna Mae McKenzie Jayne. She was a member of the Staffordsville Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Challie "Chat" Mahan; two sons, Jess Mahan, of Sitka, and Ronnie Mahan, of Paintsville; five daughters, Bonnie O'Brian of Wittensville, Frances Henderson, of Orlando, Florida, Vickie Mahanm of Inez, Anna Cole, of Sitka and Pam Ramey, of Paintsville; one brother Melvin Jayne, of Vine Grove; oine sister Pauline Adams, of Paintsville; and ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Thursday, January 25, in Fishtrap United Baptist Church at Staffordsville. Burial was in the Jayne Cemetery at Staffordsville with Paintsville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
